LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has expressed his apprehension that tampering expert Sharif brothers may tamper with the Justice Baqir Najfi Commission report.

“Making Baqir Najfi Commission report in its true form is necessary for the dispensation of justice to the victims,” he asserted.

Dr Qadri was referring to the case of tampering with the SECP record in a statement issued here on Sunday. He said the prime minister had eventually accepted that he had served in a company in the UAE. He suggested that the Panama JIT report should be included in the syllabus of criminology as a case study. He said time had come that those involved in the killing of 14 innocent people in a firing case in Model Town should be given exemplary punishment.

PTI: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed says corruption and the commission has divided the Sharif family and the PML-N and they will soon be annihilated.

Mr Rasheed was referring to the anti-Nawaz and pro-Shahbaz banners hoisted in Lahore, while speaking at a ceremony at his office on Sunday.

He said there was neither any similarity between Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan nor was it so in the cases being heard by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Imran Khan earned income from across the world and brought the money back in Pakistan, while the Sharif laundered country and nation’s wealth abroad.

The opposition leader said the Panama Papers exposed the Sharif family last year when he had revealed details about their assets abroad in 2013. “I had presented documents of Maryam’s properties abroad on the media and challenged the Sharif family to call him in the court of law but they did not,” he asserted.
