LARKANA: Sindh National Front (SNF) chairman Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said the forthcoming general elections are likely be held under a powerful force where bureaucracy will be unable to maneuver results in favour of the “Zardari-league”.

Addressing a public meeting on Sunday in Warah town, some 50 kilometers off here, from where he had won in 1970’s elections, he predicted that pro-people and peoples’ genuine representatives would finally be victorious in the elections in Sindh to form a government. He said they would serve the people of this land that had drastically been looted and robbed. They would turn Sindh green and prosper, he said.

According to a press release sent by email on Sunday, he said the public meeting was the part of ‘Sindhi Jago-Sindh Bachayo’ campaign the SNF had launched. He said the prime minister was busy in saving his skin while other politicians were facing courts.

He alleged that the corrupt Sindh government had failed to even clean cities. Loot and plunder in Sindh was on the rise, he said and quoted the incident of ruthlessly dismantling the houses of poor and encroaching upon their agriculture land in Thano Bola Khan and handing over the land to big entrepreneurs. The government was shareholder in it, he added.

Others present on the occasion were SNF vice chairman Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, Dr Roshan Paichuho, Irshad Khan Junejo, Serai Muhammed Saleh Lakho, Ayaz Bhagat, Dr Nooruddin Bhutto, Sikandar Kalhoro, Nazir Bhutto, Yakoob Hulio and other leaders.
