GWADAR: Three suspected militants belonging to a banned organisation were killed in a gun battle with security forces near Turbat in Kech district on Friday.

Official sources said that the Frontier Corps troops accompanied by intelligence personnel arrived in Gohar Khan village in the Ball Nigor area. However, they were fired upon when they cordoned off the locality for carrying out a search operation.

Security personnel retur­ned fire and a shootout continued for an hour, resulting in the death of three suspected militants. They were identified as Saleem Shikari, his brother Zareef Shikari and Samir Dil.
