5 dead in Multan as LPG cylinder explodes in vehicle

At least five people died and 24 others were injured when a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder in a vehicle burst into flames on Multan's Head Muhammad Wala bridge on Sunday, rescue sources told DawnNews.
A wagon carrying at least 30 passengers travelling from Layyah to Multan was engulfed in flames when the cylinder burst, the sources said, adding that the casualties include women and children.
All burn victims have been taken to Nishtar Hospital Multan, the sources said.

As long as there is not a proper check and balance to this, this will remain a routine on the roads. We request higher authorities i.e transport ministry, motorway and other stake holders to have mercy, otherwise the day is not far when they end up being victims. Moreover, every individual is equally responsible, we should learn to live and behave in a civilised manner. Period!

Countries who have exponentially more gase reserves than us do not use it for transports. Firstly Industry and domestic demand is fulfilled and secondly it is immensely unsafe.
Some poeple had to built gas stations empire in country and here we are.

Why use of gas is still allowed in public passenger vehicles.It has been proved to be highly dangerous hundreds of times in public transport due to lack of safeguards and gas being highly explosive. Even though expensive only Petrol and diesel public transport should be allowed.

This Hiace can carry 18 passengers max, it's nearly impossible to accommodate 30 passengers in this vehicle.
The calculation isn't correct!! Something is definitely wrong!!

if this would had happened in any civilized country. route permits for all the vehiles with specified cylinder would have been cancelled.

30 people in a van? Is that even humane? Usually in pakistan public transport vehicles are over burdened, people squeeze in like animals. Yet they deny problems of over population, but atleast authorities should stop such vehicles and fine them heavily.
