NAWABSHAH, Aug 8: The People’s Party Parliamentarians and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Thursday continued to issue each other with warnings.

The PPP and the Muttahida are at odds since an attack on the municipal office which the former blamed on the latter. The Muttahida has denied the allegation.

An FIR was also lodged against 86 persons, including PPP activists, an MPA and Awam Dost Panel Nazims, at the A-Section police station.

The FIR was lodged by Ghulam Haider Rahu, special assistant to the Sindh chief minister, against MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio and others.

PPP: Speaking at a meeting of the PPP executive council here on Thursday, acting district president of the party, Ghulam Qadir Chandio, said ADP members would not give protocol to ministers and advisers to the Sindh chief minister in Nawabshah.

He criticized the police for not arresting the accused who attacked the municipal office.

He announced that the PPP would take out a procession on Saturday.

MUTTAHIDA: Nawabshah MQM acting zonal organizer Abdul Majeed has refuted the allegation of MPA Chandio that Muttahida activists had attacked the municipal office, saying they only had protested against the municipal administration.
