KARACHI, Aug 7: Hyderi Baloch lifted the KASB Premier League title after edging past Karachi United 1-0 courtesy a second half strike by Daulat Ali at DHA Stadium under lights on Wednesday.

After remaining goalless in the first half, Daulat brought joy for his side with a 60th-minute goal past Karachi United goalkeeper Bilal Mehdi, who was adjudged “Player of the Match.”

Hyderi Baloch, having 24 points received Rs50,000 cheque, runners-up Baloch Mohammadan (21 points) got Rs30,000. LLWC finished at third.

Hosts Karachi United, however, qualified for the next league after finishing at fourth place along with Nawab XI who settled at fifth.

Ismaeel Baba of Baloch Mohammadan was the leading scorer with 15 goals, while Aftab Ahmad of Hyderi Baloch was declared “Player of the League”.

The ten-team league was the first of its kind and was organized by Karachi United in collaboration with City District Football Association and Sindh Football Association.
