KARACHI: Danish Aziz shine with bat and ball as Omar Associates recorded their second victory in the fourth edition of Naya Nazimabad Karachi Kings Ramadan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament when they whipped Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) by seven wickets on Wednesday night.

The first half of the match at the Lawai Cricket Stadium was dominated by young Ashar Qureshi who thrilled a sizeable crowd by smashing 74 from 54 balls with no less than six sixes and two fours as CAA reached 142-9.

The spin trio of Saad Nasim, Danish Aziz and Zulfiqar Babar shared six wickets between them.

Later, Danish, who was declared man-of-the-match, bludgeoned three sixes in a 15-ball cameo of 28 to make the fixture a one-sided affair. Omar Associates were home and dry with 17 deliveries s to spare.

Azam Khan top-scored for Omar Associates with 37 off 35 balls with three boundaries while Zeeshan Ashraf struck 37 off 27 balls with four fours and one six.
