LAHORE: The PPP sees that the prime minister and his family are getting nervous with the progress in the working of the joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Panama case on the orders of the Supreme Court.

“The behaviour of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family depicts that they are getting nervous with progress in the JIT working,” PPP Central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira told reporters here on Wednesday.

He said the ruling party was attempting to pressurise the judiciary by speaking against the JIT. He said resignation by PML-N Senator Nihal Hashmi for speaking against the JIT and then withdrawal of the same were part of the same ploy.

Referring to the “mayhem” the ruling party was creating against the treatment being meted out to Husain Nawaz, Mr Kaira questioned whether the prime minister’s son had been invited to a cup of tea there or the JIT members were to share jokes with him.
