ONE main reason for the low standard of education is cheating in examinations. Professors and teachers are involved in encouraging cheating during examinations, the students are involved and so are parents going to up to any lengths to secure decent grades for their children

Ironically, students who go for international education systems and have to appear at foreign examinations boards are hardly familiar with this culture. It is only our homegrown systems that are corrupt. Education is not a business; it is not a deposit box securing monetary investment in turn for results but an investment in the future.

The government should concentrate on the educational system before it is too late. Make the future of our new generation brighter and enlightened to make this country progress.
