THE dilapidated Kalam road has been creating difficulties for tourists. Owing to deep ditches, it is difficult for tourists to go through the main road leading to Kalam. Political parties use Kalam road for political point-scoring, but no one has taken concrete steps to repair it.

Two years ago, MPA Syed Jaffar Shah inaugurated the construction of this road at a cost of about Rs500 million but till today construction has not started.

A few days ago, PML-N leader Amir Muqam inaugurated the same project. But no construction work has started as yet.

Political parties use Kalam road as a political slogan, while the tourists face difficulties. The federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments should take action on this issue.
