KARACHI: The inaugural National Bank of Pakistan (NBP)-Sindh Squash Association (SSA) Inter-school squash championship commenced at the PSF Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, PSB Coaching Centre, on Sunday.

Players, both boys and girls, representing 20 educational institutions of the city, are competing in the four-day event which concludes on May 24.

According to organisers, matches are being played on the individual basis and category-wise.

The event is aimed at promoting the game at the grassroots level and to scout talent.

Boys under-17:

Aarib Imran (BVS Parsi High School) bt Suleman Khan (New Rose Heaven School) 12-10, 11-6, 4-11, 11-7.

Boys under-11:

Adnan Zaman (Saint Michael School) bt Hussain Bhutto (Habib Public School) 11-4, 11-8, 11-4; Bilal Irfan (Shah Wilayat School) bt Abdul Haseeb Khan (Quaid Public School) 11-2, 11-0, 11-3.

Monday’s fixtures: Matches start at 4pm.
