Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bahram Qasemi on Friday summoned Ambassador to Iran Asif Ali Khan Durrani to lodge a protest over the killing of ten Iranian border guards in a militant attack on the Pakistan-Iran border earlier this week, IRNA reported.
Ten border guards of Mirjaveh county in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan province were killed in an ambush by terrorists along the Pakistani border’s zero-point on Wednesday.
After the attack, Iranian police said the guards were killed by long-range guns and “the Pakistani government bears the ultimate responsibility of the attack”.
Iran-based militant group Jaish al Adl, or the Army of Justice, had claimed responsibility for the attack.
During Friday's meeting in Tehran, the spokesperson urged Pakistan to adopt strict measures to ensure that no such incident takes place again, the daily said.
"We strongly expect the Pakistan government to adopt serious measures for the arrest and punishment of terrorists," the Iranian publication quoted the spokesperson as saying.
“Unfortunately, Pakistani side of Iran’s borders are the most insecure ones and we expect Islamabad to honour its previous promises and prevent a repetition of such attacks,” the spokesperson told Durrani.
Durrani had offered condolences over the loss of life in the militant attack, IRNA said.

I concur, Pakistani citizens are the responsibility of the Pakistani Government. The terrorists that use our country as a safe haven to launch attacks on our neighbors are no friends of Pakistan.

This again is an Indian design. How can Pakistan control Iran-based militant group Jaish al Adl, or the Army of Justice that claimed responsibility for the attack? Pakistan must act responsibly and ensure not to make another Afghanistan out of Iran.

Who is funding these terrorists is the question Iran should ask. Is it Israel helped by India and why are these using Pakistani soil, if true they fired from Pakistan side. Better joint patrolling and aerial reconnaissance should be done.

It would be best if Iran works with Pakistan to deny entry to foreign intelligence agents like Kulbhushan Yadav. Who according to Pakistani Authorities are causing instability in Balochistan. Attempts to destabilize Pakistani Balochistan will directly affect Iranian Balochistan, which is very obvious from the killing of innocent Iranian Border Guards.

Small question why 10 guards killed just after Raheel Sharif joined imfat?? I think Pakistan should demand joint investigation with Iran for such incident before blame game.
A new pressure game by regime to pressurise Pakistan after its media and political games failed inside Pakistan.
A very unfortunate incident but required joint investigation on the other hand Pakistan must make sure no country or militants can use this option in future only enemies of Pakistan can do such attack at this time

@maverik Terrorists are terrorists there is no justification of killing innocent people anywhere in the world including Non-Muslims if we provide justification for the killing of Iranian guards then remember we have also more than two dozens Jaish, Sepah, Lashkar in Pakistan they all have some sort of justification for their killings

@Muhammad this is the reason joint investigation should be carried out as they said long range rifles were used if they have used it now and it's easily accessible why such incident not happened earlier. Iran earlier claimed cross border incursion this time new claim was present to us and it's very easy by doing ballistic examination type of bullets all can be investigated to make sure such allegations can not be leveled against Pakistan
