ISLAMABAD: Thieves struck at three places and made off with cash and valuables while the capital police claimed to have arrested five robbers.

The police said four people raided the shop of Mohammad Abbas at Lakeview Park and snatched cash after beating him.

A motorcycle was stolen from the parking area of a university in Shahzad Town. Amar Ahmed’s bike was stolen from Media Town where he had gone to meet his relatives.

Meanwhile, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) busted a gang of robbers and recovered valuables along with weapons from them.

The CIA raided the hideout of the gang and arrested its five members allegedly involved in street crime.

The police said two snatched mobile phones and two 30-bore pistols along with 25 rounds were recovered from them.
