The Foreign Office (FO) on Saturday confirmed that a former army officer, Lt Col Mohammad Habib Zahir, has gone missing in Nepal.
"Col (retd) Habib has been missing since April 6 from the district of Rupandehi in Nepal," said FO spokesperson Nafees Zakaria.
The spokesperson added that the matter has been raised with the Nepalese government and the Pakistani embassy in Nepal is in contact with the local authorities.
The FO is also in contact with Zahir's family members and they had initially reported him missing, added Zakaria.

Who allowed this gentleman to go to Nepal as this is not a country but domain of India.There is no visa restriction for Nepalese going to India and India has complete hold on Nepal.

@Ayub It's no domain of India. Nepal is sovereign nation. Nepal, Bhutan and India are brotherly nations closely knit and linked with dharmic religion- hinduism and Buddhism. Civilians are extremely close and cross border into each other like daily affair without any visa. Too much trust in brothers to need one.
