Congo patient in Multan

MULTAN: A suspected Congo patient, admitted to Nishtar Medical Institute (NMI) a few days back, has been tested positive, said an official source here on Friday.

The source said that Masoo Khan, 30, son of Gulay Khan, hailed from Balochistan. He was admitted to NMI with fever and headache four days back.

The report of the blood samples, sent to the National Institute of Health, Islamabad, showed that Masoo Khan was suffering from Congo fever, the source added.

The patient has been kept in isolation ward, whereas doctors and paramedics have been given special kits to save themselves from the disease.
