SUKKUR: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has allowed the Ghulam Mohammad Mahar Medical College (GMMMC) to begin fresh intake for MBBS 2016-17 session.

According to sources in the college, the registrar of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) and the principal of GMMMC have received a notification from the PMDC to this effect.

The sources said that after having received the notification through fax, the college administration had issued schedule for admission and start of classes.

The college had asked candidates who had already passed written test for admission to reach GMMMC on March 7 and 8 to appear in interview and submit tuition fee, said the sources.

The college principal Prof Dr Ghulam Hyder Rind and assistant registrar Dr Altaf Mirani confirmed receiving the notification and said classes for new batch would start from March 13 and a celebration for restoration of ‘affiliation’ and lifting of ban on admission would be held on March 11.
