CHARSADDA: About 45 suspected persons, including nine Afghans, were arrested and weapons recovered from their possession during a search and strike operation in Mandani area here on Tuesday.

Police and security personnel with the help of lady police and sniper dogs conducted house-to-house search and arrested 45 suspected persons among them nine Afghan nationals.

The raiding teams also seized 14 SMGs, five rifles, one LMG, 45 pistols, 70 magazines with 3,000 cartridges and a laptop from the suspects.

The detained persons were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
