KARACHI: The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has accepted to become the patron-in-chief of Sindh Hockey Association (SHA) women’s wing.

‘Yes he (Khursheed Shah) has acceded to our request to head the body (women’s wing),’ senator Khushbakht Shujat, who heads SHA women’s wing told Dawn over long distance phone call from Islamabad on Wednesday.

She said after accepting the honorary position the leader of opposition in NA has assured to help organise the inaugural Benazir Bhutto Gold Cup for women’s at Sukkur in a befitting way.

She said the dates of the event have been revised and will now be place from March 15 to 23 instead of March 4 to 13. She added that invitations have been sent to Punjab, Balochostan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Wapda, Army, Railways and the HEC. Last date for submission of entries is March 1.
