As per her and her husband's tax papers, they are quite poor, where do they get money to send son abroad in addition to their own family trips?

Pakistan is nit good enough for them thats why rhey have homes abroad. Pakistan is good to govern as most of the uneducated population can not see the bigger picture.

She has a right to do whatever she wants to as long she is not proven guilty. Just because the 35 puncture crowd wants her demise based on political accusations, does nt mean that she would lock herself in Jail. After all the same crowd was equally convinced about the truthfulness of 35 punctures and wanted Nawaz Sharif to punish himself because of that.

Media is,right. She feared outcome of Dawnleak and of course Panama. She avoided arrest.

What else would you do if you suddenly receive a large gift of a few hundred million from daddy, but to fly to London for some shopping, check out some tony flats on Park Lane; consult with bankers and financial advisors and just have a good time??? Isn't that normal among the 1%?

These people choose everything outside the country but only remain in this country to accumulate wealth in the disguise of Politics. Those who vote them are really need to open their eyes beyond any grudge and hate and think of this country.

A monthly vacation, no doubt... After all the hard work she's required to put in for the care of the poor and needy in Pakistan; the widows, orphans, building schools, providing food and shelter, tend to the wounded; grieve with the families of deceased who are blown up routinely around the country on a weekly basis or randomly shot in cities as diverse as Karachi and Lahore, coordinating the rallies for NS, managing the launch of motorways and Metros.... etc etc... takes its toll on anyone.. Hence the much needed R&R... Hope she was allowed a dedicated PIA for her stay in London. We don't want her to be inconvenienced trying to check in on a ordinary commercial flight! Have a good time Maryam. Wish we were there!

It's sad to see so much negativity in this comments section. Imran khan has sons also studying in the UK. Founder of Pakistan and Dr Iqbal also studied in the UK. Negativity does not take any nation forward. Cricise rulers on genuine wrong doings.Panama case is in the court let the judges decide.

The entire Pakistani nation is skeptical about such visit when most of the Pakistani "politicians" are in London. The nation has completely lost faith and trust in these so called elected leaders.

Hyprocrates politicians! Their children studying in London and no education system in their own country. Backward Pakistan is a bonus to these politicians to rule the uneducated people.

@Heal Imran's children live in UK with their mother, she legally and mutually took them their. Also IK is not the PM of Pakistan. Maryam and her husband live and loot in Pakistan and being the daughter of PM and actively involved in Pakistani politics it her duty to set example for others to follow. Anyone can take their children where they prefer, but when you and your father talk about the country that you govern, it is a moral responsibility to keep all in Pakistan. Finances or family matters. How can she or her father preach how good Pakistan is when they don't trust it themselves.

@Heal - You are way off!!! No one ever suspected Iqba, or Jinnah of being corrupt or for owning offshore companies or expensive flats in London. Neither were considered even 'millionaires' at the time, much less 'billionaires' in a country where most people still live on less than Rs 200 a day. IK has not been implicated in Panama Leaks and just because his son lives or studies there, does not make him a thief!

@ Heal: Imran Khan is not the PM of no this country. He hasn't looted this country for more than 25 years plus. He does not involve his kids in Pak politics. He hasn't got the billions $ like mia sahab. Please don't compare this family with IK's.

People of Punjab and Pakistan are still living in slave mentality. Knowingly how PM Nawaz and other politicians have looted and moved Pakistan's wealth overseas they still vote for them and elect them. PPP case is no different. These guys have properties in UAE, Spain, U.K. And USA. Pakistan will not progress unless public changes its behavior.

Sharif family failed to realize their immense responsibilities as rulers. Once they get elected they are public servants and their every move is in the public eye. They was to live as Kings in the name of democracy. Kings don't get elected by public. Why their kids deserve the best of everything while kids in Pakistan are without even clean water. How much more money they will hoard.... ?

i applaud most of the comments but the fact is we can't progress unless feudal system is abolished in our country because it's this corrupt system which exploit the impoverished population (that is the major vote bank)

Pakistan educations system is not good enough for Mariam Safdar's son, her father always goes to London for health issues, they keeps all their investments in foreign countries, only reason they are in Pakistan to make money, sounds like their primary residency is London not Pakistan.

Come on folks, give the lady a chance to tie up loose ends regarding London properties and Panama scandal. Also do some shopping at Harrods, for the rich and famous. This is the lifestyle of our leaders and their children. The poor people of Pakistan don't matter.

We know everything about them, no matter where they live, what they do and despite all of there frauds, looting and corruptions they have right to govern us, we gave this right to them and we rightly deserved these leaders to rule us.

@Heal ..Father's of nation went to UK to get education. Not to buy properties, nor for routine medical checkups. Nor they send their kids to live in UK. Regarding IK... if your wife is a citizen of UK and you get divorce , where do you think your kids would live? Kids always stay with mother after divorce. A humble advice: Please get rid of your bias against IK.

@kanwarch It's not going to be that easy. If found guilty, she will have to serve substantial time along with other family members, return the loot and then if she is able, financially and physically, can she go wherever she pleases!

It's apparently relates to expected verdict on Panama Case. Maryam Nawaz prefer to remain happy in UK, rather than to face unexpected verdict.

Those who think, Pakistan is progressing and developing well under this government, just have a look at increase in Pakistani Debt figure since 2013. Your eyes will stay open for the rest of your lives..
