KARACHI, Jan 2: Ten vehicles — five cars and an equal number of motorcycles — were stolen in the city on Wednesday, the police said.

The cars were stolen in Saddar, Aziz Bhatti, Gulberg, Saeedabad, and Quaidabad.

The motorcycles were stolen in Preedy, Arambagh, Civil Lines, Nabi Bux, and Landhi.

The police also claimed on Wednesday to have recovered ten vehicles in the city.

KILLED: A heroin addict killed another addict in the police limits of Mochko on Wednesday.

The police said that a fight started over the share of heroin between two addicts in Moach goth. During the fight, one addict struck the other with an iron rod on the head. Consequently, Karim Bakhsh, aged 30, suffered a serious head injury. He was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The police said that the suspect fled the scene after hitting the victim.

COUNTERFEIT COSMETICS: The police raided an illegal factory in Orangi Extension on Wednesday where counterfeit cosmetics were being manufactured.

The police said that they raided the factory located in sector 11 in Orangi Town and arrested three persons, including the owner, Mohammed Inamul Haq.

The small factory was functioning on the premises of a house. Counterfeit cosmetics of popular brand names were being produced in the factory, the police added.

The police also seized a big quantity of fake products from the factory.
