CPEC & economy

Published January 20, 2017

THE China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is undoubtedly a milestone that will strengthen the economy of both Pakistan and China, though it is more important for our economy. Our GDP was $232.3bn in 2013 whereas India’s was $1.877tr and China’s $9.24tr (2013). It is estimated that after the CPEC’s completion, Pakistan’s GDP will double.

However, there are some elements with nefarious designs to harm our long-existing ties with China. The government must take all possible measures to complete the CPEC.
