Defence library

Published January 17, 2017

THE Defence Central Library is one of the best libraries in Karachi. It is equipped with all facilities for students who visit it. The library has more than 15,000 books on almost all areas of science, art, history, geography, social sciences, religion, literature, business, accountancy, and current affairs.

Students from medical and engineering backgrounds and those who are seeking degrees find this library sine qua non for study.

Aspirants preparing for competitive examinations like CSS, PCS or PMS also benefit from it as it also has a discussion room where they can study in a group.

However, the library does not have enough space available for new students who are anxiously seeking membership. The library has stopped giving membership to new entrants.

I urge the library administration to resolve this issue and open membership to new members.
