LAHORE: The Panama Leaks is just a drop in the ocean of corruption and many more such leaks may come to the fore in future, warns Allama Tahirul Qadri, chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek.

Speaking to his party office-bearers and lawyers on Tuesday, he said Nawaz Sharif was changing the constitution (through 24th Amendment) to save his “ill-gotten fortune”.

“Why is the Constitution being amended when courts are hearing corruption charges against the prime minister,” he questioned.

He said the second phase of the Qisas (an eye for an eye) movement could be launched any moment and the rulers, not the hapless people like those of Model Town tragedy, would suffer this time round.

“It’s unfortunate for the country that the ruling elite consists of looters and murderers. The Constitution is being amended, amnesty scheme announced and all state resources are being used to save few people. This situation cannot continue for long,” he said.
