A 340MW extension unit of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant (CHASNUPP), titled C-3, is all set to be connected to the national grid on Wednesday, reported Radio Pakistan.
The plant has been completed with support from China, the report added. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to inaugurate the plant.
The project was executed by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission under the guidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Another unit of the same capacity, titled C-4, is expected to be connected to the national grid in the future.
CHASNUPP Unit-1 and CHASNUPP Unit-2 are already functional.

Great news. Another significant achievement by PML-N. I don't know why everyone is complaining about them. They are the only government who has done so many things for poor people. Law and order in Karachi. Metros in so many cities. Railways running on time. Motorways being build all over Pakistan. No more terrorists attacks. Now a 300 MW Power station. All in three years. No wonder the opposition wants us to kick them out

Good Job..Nuclear energy going to be used for useful purpose..India/China/Pakistan all have to make use of this technology and benefit out of it rather than threatening one another..Wishes from India for lot more units like this which would benefit public...

Congratulations to my friends but does anyone know why every single project whether big or small is always completed by China? Has everything overtaken by Chinese including stock exchange?

we worked hard days and nights during installation and commissioning activities, and we are told to stay at hostels and bot to come to the inauguration ceremony because we are perceived as a threat. A big no to this VIP culture and hype of insecurity.

Why not Pakistan develop their own nuclear power plants to fulfill their own energy crisis and sell remaining nuclear power plants to other countries.
It was possible if there were talented leadership and no corruption and bribes in Pakistan.
Second J-31 5th generation fighter jet is an advance version of Jf-17 Thunder. Why not Pakistan should develop J-31 fighter jets jointly with China? It will be cost effective and third Pakistan will obtain some advance jets manufacturing technology as well.
The J-31 and JF-17 Thunder fighter jets power plants should be AL-31FN 127 kN (28,600 lbf). It is an improved variant for the Chengdu J-10.

Why India accepted as a member of NSG because India developing their own nuclear power plants. India all nuclear power plants are heavy water reactor power plants that generate plutonium. India sell their plutonium material to other countries too.

This will bring new avenues to the country and will get the energy crisis kicked out. Pakistan needs to bring more projects like this which are adding values to the country growing energy needs.
