KOHAT: Students of the government higher secondary school for boys, Ustarzai, have been facing difficulties in preparation for the upcoming board examinations due to shortage of teaching staff.

Talking to mediapersons after visiting the school here on Friday, district councillor and provincial joint secretary of PML-N, Mian Shah Raza, said that seven posts of subject specialist teachers had been lying vacant in the school since long. He criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government for not filling the vacant posts.

Mr Raza said that though the government had been raising the slogan of education emergency, the schools in his area were still facing acute shortage of staff. He feared that if the same situation persisted many students would fail in the board examinations due to lack of proper preparation.

ROBBER ARRESTED: The cantonment police claimed to have arrested the accused in a robbery case that occurred on the night of Nov 17 in Jawaki Banda and recovered the looted items on Friday.
