Khuzdar water shortage

Published November 26, 2016

THE residents of Zahidabad located behind SAARC hotel in Khuzdar city are facing an acute shortage of drinking water.

The supply of this precious commodity has been adversely affected owing to the lethargy and carelessness of employees of the public health engineering department posted in this locality.

Residents have caught some of the PHE staff supplying water to those willing to grease their palms. Illegal water connections have also been provided by the same staff to hotels, restaurants, and car wash service stations. The residents request the provincial authorities to probe the PHE department’s affairs in Khuzdar and ensure water supply to residents.
