URUMQI: NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry and the Governor of Xinjiang, Shohrat Zakir, exchange souvenirs after their meeting on Sunday.—APP

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has held a meeting with the governor of Chinese province Xinjiang, Shohrat Zakir, in Urumqi, China.

Matters of mutual interests came under discussion during the meeting.

The NAB chairman infor­med the governor of Xinjiang province that the bureau had chalked out a comprehensive three-pronged strategy — awareness, prevention and enforcement — to eradicate corruption in Pakistan.

In his remarks, Mr Zakir said signing of an Memor­andum of Understanding between China and Pakistan would help both the countries to work jointly for the eradication of corruption.
