LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will fully cooperate with the Supreme Court in Panama case, says Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Mr Iqbal said: “The prime minister has already made it clear that he would fully cooperate with the Supreme Court (in Panam case).” He said political parties should desist from interfering in court matters.
In an apparent reference to Imran Khan, the minister said the “adventurist” would eventually harm his politics.
Mr Iqbal further said the PML-N government would complete its term and those thinking about any misadventure should wait for the 2018 election.
“We should trust national institutions and avoid making them controversial,” he said, adding that some 1,100 MW electricity would be added to the system in three years.
The minister said stability was essential for ensuring development in the country. He said Pakistan wanted peaceful relations with all neighbouring countries and progress was not possible in a war.
