Here is another very easy, quick and delicious microwave recipe that kids of all ages can make and enjoy. It was my first time of making and eating banana bread and I was thoroughly thrilled by the result, as I am sure all of you will be too! Happy cooking!

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoon flour

• 4 tablespoon sugar

• 1/8 teaspoon baking powder

• 1/8 teaspoon baking soda

• 1 egg

• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

• 1 tablespoon milk

• Half a banana, mashed

• Chocolate syrup for topping

Method

Whisk the egg in a bowl and keep aside.

In a mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients — flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda — and mix it well with a spoon.

Add two tablespoons from the egg mixture, vanilla essence, oil and milk.

Mix everything well, making sure there are no lumps.

Take half a banana and mash it, then add to the batter and mix well again.

Grease a microwave proof mug or bowl well and pour the batter in it.

Cook it in the microwave for two minutes on high. It will appear wet from the top but if you insert a sharp knife and it comes out clean, it is cooked. Otherwise you can cook it for about 30 seconds more at the most.

You can use any topping of your choice – honey, chocolate, strawberry or even jam, and enjoy the yummiest banana bread!
