ISLAMABAD: A joint sitting of parliament has been convened by President Mamnoon Hussain on Oct 5, according to an announcement made on Saturday.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the president has been pleased to summon the Majlis-i-Shoora (parliament) in joint sitting in the parliament building, Islamabad, on Wednesday... at 4.30pm,” the media wing of the National Assembly Secretariat said.
