Egg-n-bread in a bowl

Here is a quick three-minute yummy breakfast dish that is easy to make, delicious to eat and oil-free to give you a healthy start. As this is so simple to make, there is no reason why you should skip breakfast on a school day!

Ingredients

• 2 eggs

• 2 slices of bread

• 1/4 cup milk

• 1 slice of cheese

• Pinch of salt, or to taste

• Pinch of black pepper

• 1 tbsp tomato ketchup/chilli garlic sauce

Method

• In a microwave proof bowl, beat the eggs and milk.

• Add salt, pepper and mix well. Put a slice of bread in it and press it with a spoon or fork so that it soaks in the egg and milk mixture.

• Lift the soaked slice with the spoon while you add another bread slice to the bottom of the bowl and place the soaked slice on top. Make sure that both the slices are well soaked with the mixture.

• Now brush the top slice with ketchup and place the cheese slice on top.

• Microwave it for two minutes or 90 seconds, till the mixture is cooked through. If you find it still too moist for your taste, you can microwave it for a few seconds longer.

• Tip: You can add anything else that you have at home or you like to eat, for instance, shredded chicken, spring onions, capsicums, oregano power, etc.
