LAHORE: The Pakistan Kabaddi team, which will participate in the four-nation Canada Kabaddi Cup to be held in Toronto from Aug 20 to 26, will leave here for Canada on Friday (today).

Besides Pakistan and hosts Canada, other teams participating in the event are India and UK.

Head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt said the team was balanced and had the potential to win the title. He said former DG Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar had made heavy investment in Kabaddi players in the past which would help Pakistan compete against tough teams like India and Canada.

Shafique Chishti, Musharraf Janjua, Rana Ali Shan, Mohsin wahla, Mohammad Ramzan Jani, Tayyab Maaz Wahla, Rana Naeem Babar, Khalid, Akmal Shahzad Dogar.
