LAHORE: It rained in major parts of Lahore on Sunday morning, keeping temperature low throughout the day.

The Met department recorded 52mm of rain in Township, 50 in Johar Town, 43 in Iqbal Town, 42 in Samanabad, 40 in Gulshan-i-Ravi, 26 at Jail Road, 22 in Gulberg, 20 in Misri Shah, 18 at Upper Mall and 8 in Shahdara. It merely drizzled in areas around the airport and Mughalpura.

The Met department also reported that Sargodha received 85mm of rain, Islamabad (Saidpur) 40, Muzaffarabad 23, Domel 18,Gujrat 13, Kamra=11, Murree and Parachinar 8 (each), Toba Tek Singh 7.

More rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur divisions), upper KP (Malakand, Hazara divisions), north-east Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Kalat divisions), Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the next 24 hours.
