KHUZDAR: A man wanted for involvement in various crimes was killed in an encounter with Levies personnel in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district on Friday evening.
According to sources, Levies personnel launched a search operation in Killi Salman after receiving information about the presence of proclaimed offenders.
An encounter took place after the criminals opened fire on the security personnel.
Ghulam Mustafa was killed, but his accomplices escaped.
“They were involved in heinous crimes, including highway robberies, attacks on security forces and kidnapping for ransom,” Khuzdar Deputy Com-missioner Sarfaraz Alam told this correspondent.
Illegal arms and ammunition were seized from the hideout, the official said and added that the search operation was continuing in the area.
