Findicon

Teenagers who are too engrossed in social networking, blogging and in school assignments, they often find it difficult to have free icons and images to use according to the requirement of their posts.

Since there are so many websites out there with icons and images it’s difficult to know which one to jump into. However, to make searching easy and to get high quality and easily scalable icons and images, Findicons does a good job.

As the name suggests, Findicons is an icon search engine that helps find free icons. And the site claims to have the largest searchable free icons database in the world with both a sophisticated search filtering and result matching system that make it possible for anyone to get an icon they need for every task.

The good thing is that all the icons are coloured.

You can search and download icons but if you wish to save your ‘sets’ or upload your own created icons to the site, you have to create an account. The database is so vast that you put any word in the search bar and you get loads of interesting icons below.

Click on any and you are taken to a separate page where you can choose from several different options to download icons in the file format you desire such as, png or convert to jpg, bmp, etc., and users also have size options to choose from.

Apart from that, another free site which is actually the sister site of the former is Vector where you can find free amazing vectors with an extensive database of more than 150,000 vectors.

One can navigate though keywords, tags and alphabets. So whether one wants an icon or a vector, the sites have abundant collection.

Make sure you take the help of a parent or a guardian before diving deep on the sites:
