KHAIRPUR: The 34th death anniversary of renowned poet, writer, scholar and intellectual Prof Dr Atta Mohammad Hami was held at Sohu Kanasirro village on Sunday night.

PPP MNA Nawab Wassan laid a wreath on Hami’s grave to formally inaugurate the ceremony after which an Adabi Conference and Mushaira were held, which were jointly organised by Hami Yadgar Committee and the department of culture.

Nawab Wassan, Taj Joyo, Ayaz Gul and others paid homage to Prof Hami and described him as an intellectual, writer, teacher and scholar who had a great insight into history. Hami was a great humanitarian who made history through his thought, action, writings, attitude and character, they said.
