KARACHI: Pakistan on Thursday matches their lowest-ever FIFA ranking when they fell to 192 in the latest standings issued by the world’s football governing body.
Pakistan fell two places from 190 last month, matching their position from May 2001.
The game in the country has suffered over the last year with the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) having split into two factions following a bitter dispute ahead of the presidential election in June last year.

Govt should invest in other sports also. Not just in cricket. Football, hockey etc need proper funding. There is a lot of talent in this country.

I have played football all my life and have represented my school and college at the board level. I can safely say that there are 16 year olds who can thrash this Pakistan national team any day of the week. It pains me to see the sport I love treated in this way.

Why to regret as football has never been forte of India and Pakistan. Both countries try to regain lost glory of hockey.
