LAHORE: Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against unknown persons for taking the image of the English paper of (Part-II) Intermediate Annual Examination 2016 and made it available online through mobile phone application Whatsapp.

“The exam of English paper was held in both sessions at 491 examination centres in Lahore. Students sent the scans of questions paper through Whatsapp outside an examination centre. An FIR has been registered against the unknown persons in the Civil Lines police station”, a Lahore board spokesman said.

He said the chief minister had constituted a committee consisting of senior officers to probe the matter.

The BISE’s Lahore chairman has instructed all the examination staff to check the candidates thoroughly at the time of entrance in the examination centres and not allow either candidates or the examination staff to carry mobile phones to centres.
