CHARSADDA: Two members of a family were killed and three others suffered injuries when the roof of their house collapsed due to torrential rains coupled with windstorm in Tangi tehsil of Charsadda on Tuesday night.

Among the deceased were Shah Haram and six-year-old Hilal, who were buried alive under the debris of the roof in Panra Jranda area.

The local residents shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital.

Over a dozen other people were injured in rain-related incidents in the area.

The electric supply’s suspension was also reported in the area.

The Pesco officials failed to restore electricity even after the passage of 18 hours.

ARRESTED: The security forces on Wednesday arrested three people in Tangi tehsil over terrorism charges.

The arrested men, all belonging to North Waziristan, were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
