LAHORE, April 1: Farhan Zaman came from behind to annex the title of the 2nd DCO Lahore International Squash Cup after drafting a 3-2 against Tayyab Aslam in the final here on Friday.

Farhan spent 48 minutes on the court to wrap up the victory with the score being 5-11, 11-13, 11-2, 11-2, 11-8.

Tayyab made a fine start and won the first game convincingly as Farhan had made several unforced errors. But when Tayyab forged ahead winning the second game too after see-saw proceedings to take a firm 2-0 lead, Farhan came into his own and made a marvelous comeback as Tayyab failed to measure up in the remaining three games which he lost tamely.

In the women’s final, Sam­mer Anjum (SNGPL) beat spirited Riffat Khan of Wapda in a three-game with the scores being 11-8, 11-9, 11-8.

A total cash prizes of US$ 10,000 were distributed among the toppers by Amjad Noon, secretary Punjab Squash Association.
