LAHORE, April 1: Farhan Zaman came from behind to annex the title of the 2nd DCO Lahore International Squash Cup after drafting a 3-2 against Tayyab Aslam in the final here on Friday.

Farhan spent 48 minutes on the court to wrap up the victory with the score being 5-11, 11-13, 11-2, 11-2, 11-8.

Tayyab made a fine start and won the first game convincingly as Farhan had made several unforced errors. But when Tayyab forged ahead winning the second game too after see-saw proceedings to take a firm 2-0 lead, Farhan came into his own and made a marvelous comeback as Tayyab failed to measure up in the remaining three games which he lost tamely.

In the women’s final, Sammer Anjum (SNGPL) beat spirited Riffat Khan of Wapda in a three-game with the scores being 11-8, 11-9, 11-8.

A total cash prizes of US$ 10,000 were distributed among the toppers by Amjad Noon, secretary Punjab Squash Association.
