Story times: Architecture

Published March 12, 2016

Kids are the builders of a nation! Literally! They have great ideas, imagination, concepts and visualisation. So teaching them about anything in their prime years could make them stand out in a crowd. In our websites galore, today, we are exploring architecture for kids. Yes, kids who have interest in the building can gain a lot of information from Archkidecture, plus they can come up with their dream structure the way they want and share it with the world.

The website will engage passionate kids in build environment in so many interesting and educational ways; for example, as math and science use architecture as a basis for learning elemental concepts about measurement and physics; while social studies can be used as a way to uncovering a culture and the history of people and place. Thus, the website is not only educational, it will inspire kids to build things with their own hands, and feel the accomplishment of problem-solving and creating something interesting, or beautiful or weird.

When kids learn about architecture, big ideas are built

The website will give inspiration to kids to showcase their talents and ideas, provides them lessons, projects, news, curricula, books, and a lot of inspirational projects said and done by kids with less material that they can get on in their hands; such as in ‘Projects’ children will find information and instructions to built the structures. In ‘Curricula’, kids will get especially designed lessons on architecture study for kids, which have been developed by various teachers and architects across the US.

Apart from that, there are hundreds of projects made by kids as well as elders with links to the separate pages for making the structure with instructions.

So whether kids are interested in making a cardboard house, green dollhouse, funny lunch bag homes, a paper town project, building a dome, etc., they’ll find much more on ArchKidecture than they had imagined.
