KARACHI, Nov 10: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad launched on Monday the Sindh High Court Bar Association’s “continuing legal education (CLE) programme” aimed at enhancing the lawyers’ knowledge of specialized areas of substantive law and updating them on recent developments in their fields of interest.

The programme has been launched in collaboration with the Sindh Judicial Academy, which is headed by Justice Dr Ghous Mohammad (retired), who was present on the occasion, besides SHCBA president Muneer A. Malik and secretary Yawar Faruqui.

The programme mainly consists of lectures by senior lawyers and retired judges followed by panel discussions. The first panel discussion is due to be held on Nov 19 and the second lecture on Dec 16.

Lawyers desirous of participation have been asked to register themselves with the SHCBA office. A “CLE Trust” has been set up for funding the programme.
