QUETTA: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions retired Lt Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch, who belongs to the PML-N, has expressed the hope that the Murree Accord signed by leaders of the three coalition partners in Balochistan will be implemented in a few days.

Responding to a question at a press conference here on Sunday, he said that under the Murree Accord the chief ministership of Balochistan was to change hands on Dec 4, but the day passed without that happening.

He said the Murree deal was a reality as leaders of coalition parties in Balochistan, including Mehmood Khan Achakzai of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo of National Party had signed and the PML-N high command endorsed it.

Under the Murree Accord, a PML-N nominee has to become chief minister for the second half of the five-year term.
