Air links parleys in December likely

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: Pakistan on Wednesday accepted an Indian proposal to start a second round of talks on resumption of air links between the two countries in December, Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar said.

“We have conveyed our acceptance of the Indian proposal to hold the second round of technical talks for the resumption of air links between Pakistan and India,” Mr Khokhar told a news conference.

He said Pakistan had agreed to hold talks on Dec 1-2.

The first round of talks held in August in Rawalpindi ended in an impasse. The resumption of talks to restore air links was contained in 12 confidence-building measures announced by India last week.
