ATTOCK: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday postponed the local bodies elections in seven union councils and one ward in Attock district.

As per the District Returning Officer Attock local bodies elections have been postponed in unioncouncils Jalwal, Nara, Saghri, Pindsultani and Mithial of tehsil Jand , Union councils Jhang and Bahtar of tehsil Fatehjang and ward No 12 of tehsil Hazro.

According to ECP sources, the elections were postponed on the directives of court as different people including aspirant candidates have filed cases over delimitation. The local government polls were scheduled in district Attock on Thursday (today).
