Rehman Malik still enjoying official security, Senate told

ISLAMABAD: Senator Reh-man Malik is the only former interior minister enjoying security provided by the interior ministry.

Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan gave this information on Tuesday to Senate, in a written reply.

To a question of Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi of MQM, he replied that Mr Malik had been provided three police officials for security but no vehicle.

The proceedings of session became interesting as a number of senators including Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani passed remarks over it. Mr Mashhadi asked that why only Senator Malik was availing the facility.

Instead of condemning the abuse, fellow senators are asking why only Malik is enjoying the perks. Meaning they are asking that they all should should be able to abuse the system. Just incredible...

It is not only Rehman Malik but there are so many others enjoying free security at the cost of tax payers money in the country. I have myself seen Police guarding the businesses sites like CNG filling station owned by Minister.
