All the suveys before 2013 elections and all the elections ( cantonment, bi electios, local government) proves that 2013 elections were fair, and politics of negativity don't sell anymore.

PTI should understand that they lost 2013 elections fairly and reorganize for next election and come out of dhandli mantra. The complete route from Lahore shows that is what its popularity is in Punjab. PTI anchors on media stop misleading IK otherwise we will loose an emerging leader.

To be honest, I was already expecting this result. There is a great lesson for Imran Khan in these results. Imran Khan idealized Zulfiqar Bhutto and unlike him started the politics of Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. Zulfiqar Bhutto established his credibility in such a way that whoever got the ticket of PPP got elected and many of them were not "electables". Imran Khan compromised his vision and leadership and hence is losing credibility. In NA-122, if PTI candidate contests election and spends crores, how could he bring the change had he elected. The bottom line is: Imran Khan is relying on others for success while the key to success is that others should rely on him.

Of course, why is anybody surprised. Formula of one piece of land to each party.

Only 2 yrs before the next general election and PTI position is so weak. It looks like people are content with the current state of affairs.

IK has been craving for Punjab while ignoring KPK. Though PTI will perform much better in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and few other districts in the next phase of LB elections BUT IK now should prepare for 2018. Good governance and deliverance in KPK is the only way forward for PTI.

Even bio-metric sys alone will not be enough, unless voters are educated an exercise the right independently.

Imran Khan and his party are making a huge mistake by not playing their proper role in the parliamentary politics. Until now PML(N) and PPP have been looting and plundering the country's wealth without facing any strong opposition. Had Imran Khan taken as strong stance against corruption or restructuring of NAB or may be for reforms in higher education as he had taken against election rigging the results of current polls could have been different. So far I have not seen Imran Khan announcing a protest for real public issues. No doubt rigging must be stopped but general public now wants to hear something different.

Now it is like this PTI leads in KPK, PML-N in Punjab, PPP in Sindh. Thanks to the people of KPK for bringing a change in the political spectrum. Other provinces deserve what they like. Sindh and punjab are ruled by their respective parties for the last 40, 30 years directly or indirectly but the suffering of the people seems to be unending and will remain the same for another 20 years at least.

@Asma Respecting the legitimate mandate by the people is the core idea of Democracy. The ground realities in Pakistani society are extremely harsh. Why NS is still there because generally most of Pakistani people want him to complete his tenure and deliver what he promised during 2013 elections. We may agree or disagree but this is the collective wisdom of the "uneducated" people of Pakistan. For the moment PTI key role is to keep check on government policies and performance while preparing for the next elections in 2018.

LG polls in majority of the country are decided by barardari and ethnic divide, and this is also a concer when you see that teh development work is stopped in non-baradari and ethnically opposed groups area. pakistan is not mature enough for local bodies. being a frist ahnd victim of baradri and immature nazims' styles, I don't support LG government at all.

ENd of the PTI from Pak , We have two party system one is PPP and other is PML-N. PPP has Sindh and PML-N has Punjab. By proportion Punjab is largest province therefore every time Sharif family will be elected as PM.

This is the mindset of Pakistani voters in Punjab and Sindh. Elect the same corrupt people over and over and over again and expect different results. Wait for summer next year, majority of these same voters will be on the streets burning tyres to protest against load shedding, price of petrol, railway, PIA, Wapda etc etc and then they will reelect same people in 2018 and then again they will protest. So on and on it goes.

PTI should not expect to uproot PMLN and PPP in Punjab and Sindh. The patwari culture, the cronyism, the corruption, the political horse trading, the use of police resources to threaten and intimidate etc etc has been entrenched in these two provinces for last three decades or so by these two parties. You cannot expect to waltz in and change this in one election cycle. Work from the grassroots up. Tough but doable.

People will get what they vote for! I expect no more complaints about our politician's incompetence as we chose them, and deserve them.

Where we are now we will be in the same position after 10 years because education,health and judiciary and institution development are not the basic requirements of people.More then 10 years a go when I voted my name was not on the list but I always managed to vote. People don't consider thrn important here in England Human life is important one person was killed by police in London and it started rioting. A mayor from tower hamlets London rigged elections and he has been banned for life. A top government ministers wife took a driving penalty on his behalf both went to jail lost their jobs and that's why Uk is where it is. PM and the finance minister/chancellor are Oxford graduates and they turned the country around within no time. The PM here doesn't go and inaugurate roads,motorways and power plants nor was Churchill doing this decades a go but again you guys won't understand nor will the nation. Not a PTI person, but few things that need to be implemented ASAP. PTI needs to get a bit more realistic. They have too many flaws, battles are not won on internet but in battlefield, they need to dig deep to understand this. PTI also need to learn accept defeat, but at the same time they should not back out from rigging issue, they need to stay firm on this, and go all out for electoral reforms. I am not from KPK, so i can't comment much on PTI's performance in KPK, but from what I hear, they haven't done bad at all in comparison to what's been done in rest of Pakistan, given KPK has always been subject to mis-governance and terrorism in past. But they need to do a lot more, and they should do a lot more to drive competition b/w provincial Govts across countries. Last but not least, we people need to be educated, you can't tell me PMLN was completely successful, they have nothing in Sindh,we still go for family politics than real politics.

Imran Khan has devastated his party by his immature and insensible politics. Naswaz Sharif has played a sober and serious politics and ignored immature politics. I am surprised who guided Imran Khan to play such pathetic politics. He is not a young lad who entered in politics by hooligans and may adopt serious posture. I am very surprised by the voting behavior of people of pakistan.People from Punjab will never support fresh ideas and polices and they will always vote for Nawaz Sharif. So it is so called, Lanlord politics. I was surprised when people from all over pakistan supported Mr 10%. So unless God bless this nation and sense of wisdon prevail on comon people, country will not change, but will go down the hill. We are good in India and like the democratic environment we have. But this results speaks of the fact that anarchy still prevails in the country where in local bosses have strengthened their position in respective zone purely because being preaching the son of soil approaches against Punjab. Mass media is helping them and on one hand NWFP complains of the punjabis who agreed in 1900 to bifurcate punjab land and created the province of NWFP what for the be thankful...but on the other hand sindhi marro also criticises punjab whose gallant sons help build barren lands in sindh turning it into gainful agricultural network what for they be thankful and praiseful of punjab...And yet the Balouchi they have grievances too which themselves they think is wrong...What kind of society is in offing?People got to foil all regionalism and parties supporting it to build a one strong Pakistan. In Pakistani politics who can win against sitting government where police and whole administration works for their benefactor. Their isn't any hope of real change until people change themselves.

I am a PML n die hard voter. But on a serious note I think PTI performance is not very serious matter. People vote differently in LG and NA elections. PTI should work hard towards 2018 instead of trying to undo the past. We want a good opposition to PML n -another party scrutinising their government from a different angle though I don't want see IK as PM but they should be a strong improving opposition.

I think that the system & the defenders of this system are so strong its very difficult to defeat them.... so imran khan is making effort but its a very long & hard struggle, as no one specially the people at the helm of affairs want to change this corrupted system...

A total example of " JIS KI LATHI USKI BHAINS". PMLN ruling in Punjab so Punjab local bodies are theirs. PPPP is ruling in Sindh, so Sindh local governments cannot escape them. And by the way, PTI is winner too in their ruled province of KPK. Election system in Pakistan is just a fraud, in simple terms.
