KARACHI: Faqir Colony Club amassed eight golds and a silver to win the two-day Karachi Boxing Championship which ended at the Ustad Ali Mohammad Qambrani stadium, Kakri ground on Wednesday.

The promising pugilists of the club dominated the event winning three golds in under-14 and five in under-16 categories. Bin Qasim Club Malir finished runners-up with two golds and a silver.

Pak National Club, Sharafi Star Club and Azad Baloch Club picked up one gold medal apiece.

The event, that was restricted to two categories, was organised by the district South boxing association.

Boys under-14:

34 kg: Nabeel Ahmed bt Mohammad Zeeshan 3-0

36 kg: Mohammad Saeed bt Amanullah 2-1

38 kg: Ejaz Ahmed bt Shahbaz Akhtar 3-0

40 kg: Mohammad Rizwan bt Mohammad Amin Qambrani 3-0

42 kg: Mohammad Ismail bt Umaor Kacchi 3-0

44 kg: Sher Ali bt Anas Qambrani 3-0

Juniors under-16:

46 kg: Majid Ali bt Asim 2-1

48 kg: Faheem bt Zohaib Hussain 3-0

50 kg: Mohammad Bilal bt Adeel Ahmed 2-1

52 kg: Waqar Abbasi bt Samiullah 2-1

54 kg: Mohammad Younus bt Arsalan Kacchi 2-1

57 kg: Faizan Butt bt Wajid 2-1

60 kg: Yousuf bt Faiz Mohammad 3-0.
