KARACHI: The Karachi Tennis Association under the auspices of Sindh Tennis Association will organise the 38th KTA Development Series ranking tennis championship at Union Club from Sept 18.

The events to be contested in ranking tennis are mens singles, junior 18 singles, under-16 singles, under-14 singles, under-12 singles, under-10 singles and junior 18 doubles and girls-18 singles.

Gulzar Firoz is the president of the organising committee while Sarwar Hussain is the organising secretary and Farha Riaz and Qudsia Raja are the coordinators for the participating schools and colleges.

Last date of entry is Sept 17 at sindhtennis@gmail.com or cell no 0300-3607209.

It may be mentioned here that in order to unearth new talent and promote juniors tennis, Sindh Tennis Association initiated the Development Series few years back and it has now reached its 38th edition. Only this year so far STA in collaboration with Larkana Tennis Association, Hyderabad Tennis Association and Karachi Tennis Association has already organized five such tournaments and this edition is the sixth one.

STA is now planning to hold another such ranking event at Sukkur before December 2015.
